The Library has 36 computers for public Internet access. Sixteen are in the Adult Reference area, eight in the Children's Library, and twelve in athe Technology Training Lab.
Adult Internet Access: Computer access is free to residence of Irvington and Newark with a valid library card. All others can purchase a visitor pass for $1.00 per one hour session or a 15minute pass for .50 cents. The Adult Department has 16 computers with unfiltered Internet access. Use is limited to 1-hour sessions per customer with a maximum of 2 sessions per day.
Children's Internet Access: The Children's room has 8 filtered computers with a 30-minute use per session. Computers are available on a first come first serve basis.
Word Processing: The library has computers with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office Software available for public use.
Electronic Resources: The Irvington Public Library subscribes to online databases. These include databases of magazine articles (some full text, and some only abstracts); encyclopedias and other reference sources; directories and business resources, etc.
